Emma Joleen is a dynamic, vibrant expression of the intersection between folk, popera and rock music culture. Since winning the prestigious award and title Australian Songwriter of the Year in 2006, Emma Joleen has evolved, challenged the norm, and detonated boundaries – ensuring each new song she composed, contained melodies that took chances, piano chords that pumped out rhythmic dances, and mass orchestral harmonies that have since won several international accolades; National Australian Songwriting Contest, Unisong International Songwriting Contest, UK Songwriting Contest, Ireland Clonmel Songwriting Contest and the Los Angeles Music awards amongst others. Emma Joleen has developed a creative outlet for therapeutic songwriting, offering a voice that entertains, informs and educates each listener on values and humanity. As an independent singer/songwriter, Emma’s song “Hello and Goodbye” reached #1 on the Australian Internet Radio Music Station charts in March 2010, and she continues remain in the top 10.
